Emotional Woman, IV (2016), reflects Mudgett's conflicted love life, appearing to conflate the features of the woman with whom he was then involved. The artist's muse, represented by the sweeping blond hair, tapered fingernails, and tearful state, in which Mudgett here portrayed her. The image is composed of bulbous and distended shapes and a veritable battlefield of jagged lines, heightening the sense of explosive emotion. Mudgett also capitalized on the potential of sharply incised line details, such as gushing eye holes and scissor-like fingers, which reinforce the notion of pain being inflicted. 

These beautiful limited edition prints were meticulously created after the original works (Oil Paintings, Charcoal Drawings, Linoleum Cuts etc.) by master printers in Los Angeles, who worked closely with Mudgett to bring you this remarkable collection. They are printed in an edition of 100 on museum-quality cotton Moab paper. To ensure authenticity, each print is signed and numbered in pencil by the artist on the front and stamped with the atelier seal on the reverse.
